UK Programmes
Our Work In The UK
In 2021, after 5 years of running successful programmes in Sri Lanka, we decided to take it to the UK, where our founders live now. We are dedicated to making a lasting impact on the lives of children from difficult backgrounds, by equipping them with knowledge and life skills.
For 2023-2024 the programmes will run in the London Borough of Harrow with the aim of expanding within the Borough
Empowering the UK's Youth: Tech Innovation & Personal Growth
Active across Harrow, NextGen Dev provides young people with advanced tech skills, while Bright Path Mentorship provides tailored academic support and well-being guidance, fostering personal and professional development.
The Key Components of Our Innovative Programmes
Training Needs Assessment:
We began by conducting a thorough training needs assessment for the kids in the Grange Farm Estate, at London Borough of Harrow. Through interviews, we’ve invited a group of 20 children and identified their individual learning requirements. This personalised approach allows us to tailor our programmes to meet the specific educational needs for each of them
Minimising the Effect of Substance Misuse
Recognising the impact of substance misuse on a child’s ability to learn, we implement strategies to minimise its effects. Our programmes incorporate peer support, counselling, and coaching to address the root causes of substance misuse and provide children with the necessary tools to make positive choices. By addressing both academic and personal challenges, we ensure that each child receives the support they need to thrive
Creating Learning Spaces
Collaboration with Local Charities
At BMF, we understand the importance of community collaboration. We actively partner with local charities to expand our resources and reach out to more children in need. Through these partnerships, such as with Compass Elevation, Young Harrow Foundation, MyYard Foundation – we leverage collective strengths to create a network of support for vulnerable children
